Nehru's Himalayan Blunders

Nehru's Himalayan Blunders, as the name suggests, is a collection of all the major blunders created by the First Prime Minister of the nation , Shri Jawaharlal Motilal Nehru. Blunders of such impact that , people of J&K are suffering the consequences till date. Some of which include including the Article 370 and 35A in the constitution of India , Having poor action plans leading to land lost to Pakistan , Agreeing to the Ceasefire by Pakistan , Not listening to the Ironman of India , Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in several matters and much more. The roles of Mountbatten and Abdullah is also explored in the book , for the Blunders that were formed by Nehru. Several of his decisions on Jammu & Kashmir were due to thier influence. The Author has done a tremendous amount of Research for this book and all the proper references have been provided so ,it's not as if facts have been pulled out of thin air , unlike several of political books these days. The Length of the book may bother some but this book is not one meant to be read in a day. You can read this book at your own pace . I myself took several sittings( More than 10 ) to finish this book. Overall a must read for anyone who wants to look in Kashmir's History and how India , and Nehru in particular , mismanaged several things. Follow @keetabi_keeda on Instagram for more such reviews

Product Details

What did Mountbatten actually think of Nehru and Patel? Why did Nehru do such a poor job of defending India’s interests in J & K? How was Nehru compromised? Nehru’s Himalayan Blunders: The Accession of Jammu and Kashmir documents the major errors of Nehru, diplomatic and military, which led to India losing a portion of Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan’s military occupation and to continued conflict between the two states. Justice S N Aggarwal’s painstaking research uncovers gems from archival documents including Lord Mountbatten’s personal diaries and documents the series of events around Jammu and Kashmir’s accession, including the conflict between Jawaharlal Nehru and Sardar Patel. An enduring view into what actually happened, and Nehru’s culpability, will leave you stunned.
