Product Details
The 1965 Indo-Pak war was a landmark conflict. Pakistan gambled desperately to grab J&K by force and failed. It launched Op Gibraltar to start a revolt in Jammu & Kashmir which backfired. Pak then launched an all-out attack in the Chhamb sector to cut off the state of J&K. India hit back hard with major counter-offensives in the Lahore & Sialkot sectors which forced Pak to recoil. The war saw some of the biggest tanks to tank engagements after the Second World War, and also fierce air combat. The much famed assaulting Pakistani armored division was trapped and destroyed. Pakistan lost the war. The victory was paved by the heroism and gallantry of India's warriors - sung and unsung!
